Three In Demand Jobs Within The Business Industry

The business industry is massive, and there are so many companies out there looking to hire talent. As a consequence, there are a plethora of jobs available for people of different skill levels – jobs that every business relies on to function properly, and are desperate to hire people for.

Some of these jobs are more in demand than others. Consequently, we thought it would be good to help out any prospective job seekers by picking out a few of the business jobs that are in demand right now.

Admin Assistant

An Admin Assistant is tasked with so many jobs and helps with the general day-to-day running of the business. Most companies would probably cease to exist if it weren’t for the admin staff. Essentially, you will do all the tasks that other people don’t have time to do. You’re the person answering the phones, greeting guests, booking appointments, and managing senior employee’s diaries. It’s a job that rarely gets treated with the respect it deserves, but it’s still a great career to dive into. The main reason for this is that you really don’t need any qualifications or much experience to get into this career. Admin Assistants are entry-level jobs and a great way for you to get your foot in the door and work your way up through the ranks. Salary-wise, you’re looking at anything from around £15k to over £20k, it all depends on the company you work for.

Why is this job in demand? It’s simple: businesses always need people in the office to manage the flow of things and complete daily tasks that others don’t have time for. If you’ve got people doing this, then the specialists in the business can focus on what they do best. As such, the whole company runs smoothly, thanks to the presence of an Admin Assistant. This is a really good job for anyone starting their career and looking to get into business.

Procurement Officer

A Procurement Officer is someone who works for a business and handles all the goods/services the business purchases. Your tasks will largely include negotiating with various suppliers as you try and buy raw materials for a company or hire certain services to help the business. It’s a very important job, and you can earn a decent salary. If you find a procurement agency, you’ll see that the average salary for a Procurement Officer is around £30k – £40k, which is more than handy for a job that doesn’t require a lot of qualifications. But, to make things even better, there’s room to grow with a job like this. You can make your way up the ladder and become a Senior Procurement Manager earning around £65k a year.

Why is this job in-demand? Because businesses are always looking for people to help with their procurement. Managers and owners of big/small businesses don’t have time to do this themselves. So, they’re looking for talent that can showcase great negotiating skills to procure supplies and secure contracts at a bargain price. A great career to consider if you enjoy negotiating and can handle responsibility well.

HR Advisor

The Human Resources department is a huge part of every business. When a company has a lot of employees on its books, it needs to have some way of managing everyone and ensuring they’re all okay. This is where Human Resources comes into play, as the role of this department is mainly to oversee employees and handle any issues that occur. As an HR Advisor, you’ll be in charge of doing just that. You make sure all the staff get paid on time, and you manage their attendance and holiday allowance etc. If someone has a problem in the office, they submit the issue to you, and you handle it accordingly. It’s a fairly well-paid job – the starting salary can be around £27k per year – but it does depend on the business you work for.

Why is this job in-demand? Well, businesses always need HR Advisors to help manage their employees. If you keep your staff happy, you keep your business running efficiently. Again, as with the other jobs on this list, there’s room to grow as well. You can work your way up the ladder and become the manager of your HR department.

All three of these jobs have some things in common: they pay well, they offer room to grow, and they’re all in demand. This means there are always companies looking to hire talented individuals for these roles. Therefore, if you’re looking for a new career, why don’t you consider one of these ideas?
